HOW TO GET THERE

Himos is in the city of Jämsä in the middle of Finland 50 km South-West from Jyväskylä and thanks to the central location it’s in a short distance from all the biggest cities. From Helsinki or Turku it takes ca. 3 hours to drive there and only slightly over one hour from Tampere.

The nearest international airport is in Tampere. There are flights on Ryanair from Bremen, Edinburgh, Frankfurt-Hahn, Kaunas, London-Stansted, Malaga, Milan-Bergamo, Oslo-Rygge, Riga, Alicante, Pisa, Rome & Trapani, on Finnair from Helsinki, on Blue1 from Stockholm on Air Baltic from Riga & on Wizz Air from Gdansk.

There is an airport in Jyväskylä and there are domestic flights there from Helsinki on Finnair so you can also take a flight to Helsinki and a connecting flight to Jyväskylä.

To Jämsä you can get with express busses. Travelling time from Helsinki c. 3,30 h and from Tampere ca. 1,30 h. Coming from Turku train is a better option.

Even the superfast Pendolino trains stop at Jämsä. From Helsinki it takes 2h 30min from Turku 3 h and from Tampere only 50 minutes.

From Jämsä city centre the distance to Himos is 10 kilometers.
